Pedagogy for engine
In the absence of their parents, children need another stable relational reference point to feel physically and emotionally secure and to allow them to explore their environment and learn independently.
The pedagogues of our daycare center are educators, professionals in the field of education and support of young children. They are committed to the well-being of the child and to the daily care of the child, whether it be in gestures, care, words, respect and the general consideration due to each individual. They are the guarantors of the moral, physical and affective security of each child.
They have the obligation to take into account the culture of the families and the wishes of the parents for their child. We believe in the importance of transparent communication, the transmission of information and the integration of parents in the daily life of the home through partnerships and targeted actions, always respecting the needs of each child.
Our educators’ profile
To ensure that your child is well taken care of, we are very demanding as to the quality of our team and the members who compose it. Different criteria are very important in order for an educator to join our staff:
- Diversified language skills: professionals are chosen with the goal of offering children and parents a wide range of languages for daily transmissions and exchanges.
- Creative: We look for diversity in the creative skills of professionals in order to offer a wide range of artistic activities to the child (music, drawing, theater, dance, etc.)
- Qualified: The teams are composed of professionals who are mostly graduates or graduates
- Trained: Three days per year are dedicated to pedagogical training, a professional library is available to the teams and is regularly enriched. Practice analysis groups are set up at least once a quarter or at the request of the teams if they express the need.
- Stable and united: the well-being of our professionals is one of our priorities in order to maintain a stable, united team that is happy to give its best every day.

Individual follow-up
Through all the possibilities of exploration, discoveries and activities available in the child’s environment, by the end of his or her stay at Kannerdreem Nursery, he or she will have acquired a great deal of autonomy and many basic pre-school notions (shapes, colors, letters, numbers and counting, carrying out an activity while sitting at the table, holding a pencil, etc.). This learning is done in a natural and intuitive way through the child’s sensory and concrete experience.
The “classic” play materials (dolls, cars, building sets, etc.) are coupled with specialized Montessorian professional learning materials for the child’s natural and intuitive learning in the areas of reading, writing, math and science. All of these materials are available for the child to use and enjoy freely. These games and activities are enriched by themes, rhymes, outings, etc. As time goes by and the child is welcomed, he/she will acquire a number of basic notions ensuring a progressive and natural integration of school and pre-school learning, as well as autonomy, self-confidence and an ability to understand and learn, allowing him/her to apprehend the school rhythm with all the keys to adaptation.
At the end of each semester, the parents receive a formalized report on the child’s achievements, progress, activities carried out, rhymes and songs learned, etc. This report is made by the child’s referent. The purpose of this report is not to evaluate the child, but to provide families with complete and detailed information about the child’s daily life. This assessment allows parents to be more fully involved in all aspects of their child’s education and may be used in the case of early medical prevention or the preparation of certain school records.
